January 13, 2017: Yesterday, E4/5 sang to Senora Serna, wishing her a fond farewell as she moves north to rainy, though lovely, Monterey, California. We will miss you!!!

Please see the Science page to see photographs of your children eating the fruits (or, in this case, vegetables and herbs) of their labor. They harvested the broccoli, cauliflower, kale, chard, beets, arugula, and spearmint from the class garden.

Field Trip on Friday: The Reflecting Culture exhibit at the Fowler Museum at UCLA which will include specialized 5th grade curriculum involving the smith-work of Paul Revere.
Winter Concert Preparations: Please note the dress expectations for the concert...
Girls: Party dresses in red, black, or silver
Boys: Slacks with white collared shirt and a red, black or silver tie.

The Lap-a-Thon Fundraiser for the Washington D.C. Field Trip has now begun!
This Lap-a-thon is a four day event; athletes will be challenged to run laps every other week on the following dates: 10/7/16, 10/21/16, 11/18/16, and 12/9/16. With each challenge, they will try to beat their previous lap total.
